Easy Mandala Drawing for Beginners

Mandala is a circular geometric pattern. Drawing and coloring mandalas help you to calm down and relax. Some people find it a way to meditate. 

How to draw a Mandala?

Pick a centre point in the middle of the paper. Start with drawing concentric circles in pencils on the paper. Draw a series of circles from the centre with various distances between them.

Draw lines with an angle. Don’t bother to get a protractor? No worries. Just move the long wing around the EXLICON circular base and draw a series of dots with different angles on the circles. The EXLICON circular base is marked with clear and distant angle markers. Worry no more about the accuracy. Connect the dots with the long wing. These axes make your mandala more symmetrical. 

Now, we have drawn the basic outline of the mandala. We can draw some repetitive patterns and design our own mandala. 

Start from the centre, connect the dots with straight lines, curved lines, circles, raindrops etc. The shape can be in different sizes. Be creative! Make best use of EXLICON tool set. Replicate the patterns until it fills the circle. Fill up all the empty space. 

If you draw your pattern in a pencil, you can trace the lines with a pen. Then erase the circles and axes.

You can color mandalas with crayons, pencils or watercolor.
