First use Exlicon MX to draw a regular hexagon. Every step from here onwards is drawn inside the hexagon so make sure the hexagon is large enough. 

For every vertex on the hexagon, mark the point that’s exactly 2cm left to the vertice and on the perimeter of the hexagon. Using the six new points marked, draw a new hexagon. This new hexagon is inscribed inside the first hexagon. 

Repeat the process several times. At the end, you should have a total of 5 hexagons inscribed in one another. 

Since you were using a pencil when drawing the hexagons, it’s a good idea to use marker pens to darken the shapes and make the line bolder. 

Then add the shapes and patterns you like. We chose dense lines for inner regions and sparse lines for outer regions.

Finally with the innermost hexagon, we chose to color in the corners and decorate the rim with sparse dots. We also added a hexagram that’s the same size as the innermost hexagon.
